Corporate Membership

Corporate Membership of the Institute of Welfare is open to organisations who work in the field of people support and guidance in the broadest sense.

Membership is a statement of an organisation’s commitment to welfare.

Benefits of Corporate Membership are:

  1. Avisible statement of an organisation’s commitment to welfare
  2. A recognised and respected Code of Ethics and a Code of Practice which members must work within
  3. Reduced membership fees (£60 p.a. 2015) for individuals employed by the corporate member
  4. An agreed number of sets of the 3 issues p.a. of Welfare World Journal
  5. The opportunity to contribute to Welfare World (which is currently distributed in 8 countries)
  6. The addition of any reasonable number (as determined by IoW) of e-mail addresses to the E-mail Information Exchange Group
  7. An agreed number of training places at CPD/networking events
  8. Free advertisement of job vacancies on the IoW website and via E-Bulletins to members
  9. Welfare advice available via e-mail or telephone
  10. The opportunity to have own internal training courses accredited by the Institute
  11. The opportunity to buy additional sets of Welfare World and training places as required at member prices

Where corporate membership is taken up no individual is a full member able to use ‘letters’. Individuals of the organisation may, of course, be full members in their own right if they meet the required criteria.

Subscription Fees for Corporate Membership

Scheme A
A basic annual fee of £350

This fee to include the above benefits plus either:

a) 4 sets of Welfare World Journal and 4 free training places p.a., OR
b) 9 sets of Welfare World Journal p.a.

Additional sets of Welfare World may be purchased as follows:-

Up to a total of 9 sets…………………………..£20 each

Any additional sets will be charged at……….. £17 each

Prices include mailing individually if required.

Additional training places may be purchased at member prices £30/£35 each.

Prices vary depending on whether lunch is provided or whether the event is partially sponsored.

Scheme B

For smaller organisations

A basic annual fee of £250

This fee to include the above benefits plus either:

a) 2 sets of Welfare World Journal and 2 free training places p.a., OR
b) 4 sets of Welfare World Journal p.a.

Additional journal sets may be purchased at £20 each.

Prices include mailing individually if required.

Additional training places may be purchased at member prices £30/£35 each.

Prices vary depending on whether lunch is provided or whether the event is partially sponsored.
